Harrow Helps Harrow was born by the recognition that many residents of Harrow-on-the-Hill could not fight COVID19 on their own
MISSION & HISTORY.
The inspiration for Harrow Helps Harrow came when I realized that the coronavirus had impacted many people in our greater Harrow community. In thinking about how we might be of service during this time, my thoughts initially kept coming back to the homeless population who, during the stay-at-home order, were at an even greater disadvantage because they have no home to which to retreat. What’s more, the people normally at the helm in supporting them, such as FirmFoundation, faced an increasingly challenging task of offering assistance during this time of physical distancing.
Given my familiarity with FirmFoundation, I went to their website and saw that they were in need of donations more than ever. I thought about the fundraising campaigns with which I had been involved throughout the year and wondered if I could orchestrate one myself for FirmFoundation. Furthermore, I thought that I (along with other members of the community) could turn crowd-sourced support into an ongoing campaign to support the residents of Harrow on the Hill. Hence, I gave our initiative the name,"Harrow Helps Harrow” or “HHH.”
I created this website as a central platform for the various initiatives we’ve sponsored along with updates on progress and guest articles by the people we’ve helped to demonstrate and celebrate impact. We all must--and can--do something. The history of this neighborhood has always focused on community - this site acts as an online space for deeper community engagement and impact. Please join us!

HHH seeks to partner with various neighborhood organizations, including Firm Foundation, Harrow Food Bank, and various local businesses to build a support a symbiotic community that has been around for almost 450 years.
